Adrian Langenbach was born in Germany’s Black Forest — a landscape of soft light and deep shadows. Contrasts that shaped his visual sensibility. He began exploring image-making through music videos, using the format as a creative outlet and means of expression. His first professional steps led him into wildlife documentaries, traveling across the globe and building a foundation of skills and experience rooted in natural light.

A graduate of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Adrian has built an international career as a cinematographer, working across feature films, short fiction, animation, and high-end commercials. His work ranges from technically complex productions — including car commercials and motion control — to emotionally nuanced visual storytelling. His cinematography has been honored internationally, including Best Cinematography at the International Motor Film Awards in London.

In recent years, he has also established himself as a Director/DoP, bringing a distinct visual voice to commercial campaigns — most recently in a launch film for the Porsche GT3. His fashion short MIME II — a personal passion project selected at international festivals — reflects his move toward author-driven, visually expressive directing.

Adrian is currently developing new work at the intersection of cinema, fashion, and artistic exploration. He lives in Berlin, works worldwide and finds his muse in the Black Forest.
